Initial Setup

First Launch

When Race Control is first launched it lands on the Setup screen so that a Club identifier and the Club Drive fields can be populated by a Club Admin.

First Launch Setup Steps

Install Race Control from Play Store
Open Race Control (RC)
On the first launch of RC it will land on the Setup screen
Click on the Club field and enter your club name or other identifier of choice.
Click on Club to save the field
Click on the Save button to update this in the app setup file
Click on the Connect button and enter your Club Google Drive credentials. Allow Race Control “access while using”
When the Club Drive has successfully connected, click on “Club” (same line as the club name/identifier). RC will then check whether the required folders and files are present on the Club Drive. If they are not, RC will request permission to create them. Allow RC to create the files. A message should be displayed to say that all required files are present.
Enter your club countdown start number. For testing and training I suggest to leave it at 0. The timer will start at the set number plus 18 seconds
If the Save button is visible click on it to save updates to the setup file
Now click on the back button and RC should go to the Race Setup screen. If it doesn’t, then either the Club name/identifier is not set or the Club Drive has not connected successfully. Close and restart the app. If you end up back in Setup repeat setup from step 4 otherwise continue at Using Race Control below.
